What each tune-up covers in Gulf Coast weather

Every visit on either plan is the Premier Tune-Up, a hands-on visit that treats, flushes, cleans and protects the system.

Humidity and drain lines

The indoor coil pulls a lot of water from humid air, and warm, wet drain lines grow algae that clogs them. The visit flushes and vacuums the line, checks the flow and treats the drain pan.

Coils and salt air

Pollen, grass clippings and, near the beaches in St. Pete Beach, Clearwater, Indian Shores or Tierra Verde, salt coat the outdoor coil and wiring. The visit gives the coil a disinfectant cleaning, straightens fins, cuts back plants and tightens electrical connections.

Long summers and storm season

Systems here run long hours. The visit tests the kick starter, checks refrigerant pressures and the temperature split, and measures efficiency, so your report is current before storm season.

Member vs non-member: the same repair visit

Every repair has one flat price you approve first. One common repair, the indoor kick starter replacement (a Level 2 repair), priced three ways:

Diagnostic$99$69Free
Repair$465$372$0, paid from the repair allowance

You pay$564$441$0

A Comfort Club member pays $123 less on that repair. A year of Comfort Club dues at the 1-tune-up price is $203.88; the Premier Tune-Up it includes is a $275 value.

Premier pays from its $1,500 yearly allowance when enough remains; amounts above it are yours. The Comfort Club terms (§2.3) set when coverage begins.

What our customers say

Google reviews that mention a membership or tune-up, as written.

Our AC unit stopped working, we have a membership with Hales AC and as always their team members are amazing. Today we had Donnie taking care of our problem, he was very professional, on time, and quick finding the problem. He fixed our AC unit in less than 30 minutes, and our house is back to normal. Thank you Donnie, you made our day 😊😊😊. We recommend Hales AC for your needs

Highly Recommend!! Hales AC has been a game changer for our household. Our AC went out in the dead of summer last year, called them up and they had me back up and running within the hour. Scott was our technician and was very professional, knowledgeable and even recommended me to join their comfort club! I was skeptical but let me tell you it was one of the best decisions I’ve made as a home owner. Knowing that my hvac is being handled by a company that knows their stuff is a great piece of mind. One less thing to worry about all because I joined the comfort club. Thanks Hales AC and Scott! Keep up the good work!

Paul was professional, polite, and even swept my floor after he finished. He did a great job explaining what exactly was needed and how I would save money by joining their membership. 10/10!

Scott from Hale’s AC came out to do an annual system check and tune up. He found a few issues that would bring the system back into spec and run more efficiently. He made the repairs and cleaned the air handler and blower. All good! The people and Techs at Hale’s, always do a great job!!!!

Technician Jim has been servicing my system for a few years now and it runs flawlessly (for it's age). I take the maintenance agreement annually to keep up with PMs and they give you decent discounts when you do need a part. And they don't make you sit and wait all day...appointment at 3...truck pulls up at 257. Wish other utilities were this prompt. We're fans of Hale.

AC maintenance plan questions

How much does an AC maintenance plan cost with Hales AC?

For one system, the standard plan is $16.99 a month with 1 tune-up a year or $33.98 with 2; extra systems add $12.99 or $25.98 a month. Premier is $39.99 a month, plus $16.99 per extra system.

Should I choose 1 or 2 tune-ups a year?

The standard plan includes 1 or 2 tune-ups a year, your choice, picked when you join; 2 tune-ups cost $33.98 a month. Premier includes 2 tune-ups a year. Many homeowners with hard-working systems or homes near salt water choose a second tune-up.

Is a maintenance plan the same as a warranty?

No. A manufacturer warranty typically covers equipment defects; a maintenance plan pays for tune-ups and lowers what you pay for repairs. Premier also adds a $1,500 yearly repair allowance per system for major parts. Waiting period (plan terms §2.3): "Repair coverage activates immediately after Hales AC completes your first included tune-up." Otherwise, "repair coverage activates automatically 60 days after enrollment." Repairs found on that first visit are not covered by the allowance but get the 20% member discount.

Can I cancel my maintenance plan?

Each membership runs 12 months, paid monthly, and renews each year unless cancelled before renewal. See the plan terms for the full rules.

How do I join?
